QOTD is the ultimate community builder! Your community adds questions to the server, vote on them and answer the most popular question every day. From fun answers, to somber ones, QOTD helps your users to get to know each other better, making them feel part of a group of friends.
Getting startedGetting started with QOTD is easy! Add the bot to your server, and hit the ?setup
command.
Additionally, if you want more settings or add some pre-made question packs to your server, hop over to our dashboard here.
When you are done setting up, call the ?run
command to get the bot started.
Users on your server will only need two commands:
?ask
: Adds a question to the question pool of the bot?vote
: Votes on one of the current questions
Of course QOTD provides Moderation tools as well. Set up a channel where the bot can post all newly added questions for your moderators and monitor all incoming questions. Here are the most important commands for moderators:
?rm <question_id>
- Removes a question?all
- Shows all questions on the server
QOTD Bot also implements categories, allowing you to let the bot ask only from a certain pool of questions that belong to one category. Here are the most important commands:
?add_category
: Sets up a new category (can also be done via the dashboard)?set_category
: Enables a category?rm_category
: Removes a category?categorize <question_id>
: Categorizes one or more questions?enable_user_categorizing
: Lets the users categorize their questions according to your list.
You can set up categories using ?add_category
(or via our dashboard), and enable a category by calling ?set_category
