What is Dispatch?

Dispatch is a Discord bot that turns community bug reports into well-structured GitHub issues. Members report bugs through a short form in Discord, never touch GitHub, and get notified when their bug is fixed.

How do I report a bug?

Run /report to open a form with title, description, steps, environment and up to 3 screenshots or logs. You can also right-click any message, choose Apps → Report bug, and the form is pre-filled with a link to it.

How do I set Dispatch up in my server?

Run /dispatch setup (needs Manage Server), install the GitHub App, sign in with GitHub and pick your repository. Then optionally use /dispatch settings for a triage channel, updates channel, staff role and labels.

Do reporters need a GitHub account?

No. Reporters only use Discord. Dispatch files the issue for them and DMs them when their report is approved, fixed, closed, reopened or answered by a maintainer.

What is the triage queue?

An optional staff channel where reports land first, each with its own discussion thread. Staff can Approve to file the GitHub issue, or Reject with a reason that is sent to the reporter. Without it, reports are filed straight away.

How do reward roles work?

Admins run /dispatch rewards add @Role 5 to grant a role after 5 fixed reports. A report counts as fixed when its issue is closed as completed. If the issue is reopened, the credit is taken back.

Which commands are available?

Everyone gets /report, /issues, /stats and /leaderboard. Admins with Manage Server get /dispatch setup, settings, disconnect and rewards. There’s also a right-click Apps → Report bug command on messages.

Can I use GitLab or Bitbucket instead of GitHub?

Not yet. GitHub is the only supported code host today. Dispatch talks to hosts through a provider interface, so GitLab and Bitbucket support can be added later.

Do screenshots break when Discord links expire?

No. Uploads are copied to durable storage when a report is submitted, so screenshots and logs in your GitHub issues keep working after Discord’s CDN links expire.

Why does Dispatch show as offline?

Dispatch is a serverless app running on Cloudflare Workers with no always-on gateway connection, so it may not appear online in the member list. Commands and buttons still work as normal.
