Epiphyte grows a single plant from your server’s activity — not one per person, one for the whole server.
Every message sent anywhere in the server waters it.
Silence dries it out: around three days of real quiet takes it from thriving to withered.
Growth happens once per hour, and only if enough moisture exists to pay for it. A large plant is therefore the record of weeks of genuine activity, never just one loud evening.
🌱 Growth remembers
Nothing that has grown is forgotten.
🍂 Drought kills branches permanently. Those scars remain visible long after the leaves return, making quiet months part of the tree’s history forever.
💀 If a server is abandoned completely, the plant eventually dies. Its skeleton lingers for a while before a successor germinates from a mutated version of the same genome—clearly related, but never the same individual.

🚫 Impossible to farm
No single person can inflate the plant.
- 📉 Every additional message from the same account within one day is worth half the previous one.
- 🗓️ Voice only contributes to crown breadth after appearing across multiple real days.
- 👥 Voice time only counts while two or more people are actually together in a voice channel.
- 🤫 Sitting alone—or muted—for eight hours contributes nothing.
🌸 What appears naturally
Healthy plants slowly unlock things on their own.

Nothing can be requested, purchased, rushed, or manually triggered.

For a single day each year, the plant replaces itself with a cross-section of its trunk.
Each ring tells part of the server’s story:
- 🟤 Wide & dark → the server was thriving.
- 🤍 Thin & pale → activity slowed.
- ⚫ Grey → drought permanently cost the tree wood.
One ring represents one completed calendar year.

Everything about the plant is derived from its state.
If it could be chosen, it would stop being a measurement.

Epiphyte is a mirror, not a scoreboard.

Removing and re-inviting the bot changes nothing.
A history that can be erased isn’t much of a history.
🌳 Living on its own
The plant describes its own condition in the first person and quietly updates its own message on its own schedule, whether anyone is watching or not.
