What is Komvos?

Komvos delivers seamless cross-server moderation: sync ban announcements instantly across your private Discord server network. Build networks, invite trusted allies, auto-notify with role assignments—no more manual cross-server hunts for repeat trolls slipping through cracks.

Who is Komvos designed for?

Gaming clans with per-game hubs, creators managing main/sub servers juggling department Discords, businesses with product communities, or anyone battling desynced bans. End the chaos of copy-paste alerts, and wasted hours verifying cross-server histories.

Does Komvos automatically ban users?

Zero auto-bans—at least for now. Komvos keeps it hands-off for cross-server trust. It detects your moderators’ manual bans via audit logs, then broadcasts them network-wide, eliminating sync drudgery while preserving your full control.

How do I set up Komvos in my server?

First, invite the bot to your server with the required permissions. Then use ‘/network-create’ to create a new network or ‘/network-join’ to join an existing one. Configure your announcement channel with ‘/config-channel’. Full instructions are available in our docs…

What permissions does the bot need?

Minimal cross-server essentials: View Audit Log + core perms like Send Messages—no admin creep like bloated rival bots. This lean setup powers ban detection and announcements without overreach, freeing you from manual cross-server verification hell.

Is my server data private and secure?

Yes! Komvos implements complete network isolation - servers in different networks cannot see each other’s data. All operations respect network boundaries, and we use extensive permission validation. The bot only stores necessary moderation data and never accesses message content.

How does ban detection work?

Komvos monitors Discord’s audit logs for ban and unban events. When a ban is detected, the bot prompts moderators to optionally announce it to the network with a reason and context. The announcement is then sent to all servers in the network according to their configuration.

Can I customize ban reasons?

Yes! Network owners can manage ban reasons using ‘/network-reasons’ commands. Use ‘/network-reasons setup’ for an interactive setup wizard!

How do role assignments work?

Configure cross-server ‘Join Roles’ (auto-applied to banned re-joins) and ‘Member Roles’ (flags current members on network bans). Instantly spot threats across your ecosystem—no more digging through separate server logs or chasing ghosts.

What happens if I leave a network?

When you leave a network, your server loses access to network commands and data. However, previously published ban announcements remain in your channels. Network owners must transfer ownership to another server before leaving if they want to preserve the network.
