ModMailBot gives your team one place to handle every question, report and appeal, instead of scattered DMs and crowded channels. Members press a button, answer a short form, and a private ticket opens with your staff, their answers already attached.
How it works- Run
/setupas an Administrator. A guided wizard creates the channels, picks your staff roles, adds your ticket types and posts your panel. About five minutes. - A member presses a button on the panel and answers your intake questions, up to five, before anything opens.
- A private text channel opens. Only that member and the staff you chose can see it. The bot posts their answers and pings the right role.
/closegives the member a last word, with a countdown./archivethen saves the transcript and files to your archive channel and removes the ticket channel.
- A panel in each channel that needs one. Each panel shows its own buttons: Report a member and Ask a mod in #help, Ban appeal alone in #appeals.
/panel addputs up a new one, and/panel buttonschanges what a panel shows. - Your own ticket types. Up to 25 buttons per panel. Each type has its own intake questions, welcome message, button color and emoji, the roles that handle it, and an escalation role pinged when a member says they need more help.
- A text channel per ticket, never a thread or forum post. Staff ranks decide who can see, close and archive each type.
- Transcripts in your own server. HTML and plain text, with the ticket’s files, posted to a staff-only archive channel. Each type can archive itself when it closes.
- Never asks for Administrator. It asks for six permissions and uses each one.
/diagnosechecks them everywhere the bot works and names anything missing. - No message content stored. The bot reads a ticket’s messages only when the ticket is archived, to build its transcript, and keeps no copy. It never reads DMs.
- Limits on spam. A cooldown per member, a cap on new tickets per minute for the server, and
/blockfor anyone who abuses it. - Hard to break. Panels update themselves when you change a ticket type. A daily check fixes any panel that doesn’t match your settings and re-posts one that was deleted.
- Free. Everything here is free.
Members never message the bot. Every ticket starts from a panel button, so each request lands in a private channel your staff can see, with its context up front.
CommandsFor admins. Discord shows these to Administrators unless you allow other roles.

/data delete (Manage Server) deletes all of your server’s data from our database at once.
Manage Channels and Manage Roles, to create each ticket’s private channel and set who can see it. Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files and Read Message History, to post panels, tickets and transcripts. It doesn’t ask for Administrator, or to see your channels server-wide: it gives itself access to the channels it sets up, and nothing else.
Your dataThe bot stores your settings, a record of each ticket (its IDs, its status, and when it was opened, closed and archived, and by whom) and a log of its own actions. It never stores message content, intake answers or files; those stay in your server. Remove the bot and your server’s data is deleted from our database after 30 days, or at once with /data delete. Encrypted backup copies are gone within 90 days. The privacy policy has the details.
Add the bot, then run /setup as an Administrator.
