What is SmithBot? Smith Bot is an alternative to HoneyPot Bot which causes less mistakes and is more accurate.
Instead of baiting bots it targets the actual scams directly making less false positives.
When an image is uploaded to a server the SmithBot is in, It hashes it and compares it against a database of known scam hashes.
When a match is found it deletes the content and notifies the user that they’re account might be compromised and the necessary steps to take.
I like to think that SmithBot is a great alternative to HoneyPot Bot because it doesn’t take up a whole channel and runs completely in the background.
