NorAuth is a bot meant for small-medium servers that need an extra level of protection against spam users.
The bot grants server access to new users when they verify their e-mails.
Here is a simple step-to-step instruction on how to set the bot up:
- Create a role named “Verified”
- Create a text channel named “authorization”
- Add the “Verified” role requirement to channels you only want verified users to be able to see.
- As an administrator on the server, mention the bot in the authorization channel to create a prompt that guides users.
That’s it!
NorAuth will handle the rest.
The bot reads and deletes messages in the authorization channel after processing them.
The users are guided on how to verify their e-mail addresses in their DMs.
Once a user verifies their e-mail successfully, they will be granted the “Verified” role automatically.
