BabelBot translates your server’s chat as people talk. Members write in their own language, and everyone else reads it in theirs. Nobody types a command.
BabelBot translates the meaning, not word for word. It reads the nearby conversation, so slang, jokes and tone stay intact.
How translations appear- Reply in the channel: the translation appears under the original message.
- Translation threads: each translation goes into a thread. This works well for announcements.
- Replace: BabelBot posts the translation with the member’s name and avatar.
- Linked language channels: link channels such as #english and #español. Messages translate both ways. Edits, deletions, replies and reactions stay in sync.
- Flag reactions: react with a country flag to translate one message.
- Voice chat translation: BabelBot joins a voice channel and posts transcripts and translations in its text chat (Ultra).
- Add BabelBot to your server.
- Open the dashboard and choose the languages your members read.
- Send a message. The translation appears.
You can set different rules for each channel, skip languages you do not need, and add a glossary for names and game terms.
CommandsServer settings are in the dashboard, not in slash commands.
/help: how BabelBot works in your server/dashboard: open the server settings/language: the language of BabelBot’s own messages/upgrade: your plan and its limits/set-context-language: set your personal language/voice start,/voice stop,/voice status: voice chat translation- Translate Text and Detect Language: right-click a message, then Apps.
