When a Discord account gets stolen, the thief uses it to post the same scam in every channel it can reach: a celebrity “giving away” money through a casino or crypto site, with a promo code and a fake withdrawal screen. Members fall for it because it comes from someone they know.
By the time a moderator notices, it’s been copied across a dozen channels. Howie deletes every copy within seconds and deals with the account the way your server chose. He is cheerful. He is not OK. He will ban the scam anyway.
Howie is free.
What Howie does- Catches casino and crypto giveaway scams, including the fake MrBeast ones.
- Cleans up the whole burst. A hijacked account posts in many channels at once. Howie treats that as one event and deletes every copy.
- Acts the way you choose: ban, kick, a 1-hour or 24-hour timeout, or delete only. The default is delete plus a 1-hour timeout.
- Blocks known scams before they post with Discord AutoMod rules it keeps up to date.
- Leaves normal chat alone. Words like “casino” or “crypto” are never enough on their own. Howie acts only when it’s confident.
- Gets smarter with every server. When Howie confirms a scam image anywhere, every server catches it on the first post. Only image fingerprints are shared, never user IDs or messages.
- Reports what it did to a channel you pick, without reposting the scam.
- Lets victims undo it themselves. Hijacked accounts belong to real people. Once they’ve secured their account, they can undo Howie’s ban, kick or timeout at howie.lol/appeal without waiting on your mods. You can turn this off.
- AutoMod blocks known scam links and phrases before they post.
- Scam links and image fingerprints catch known scams in under a second.
- Text inside images is read to confirm new variants of known scams.
Every match adds points. Howie acts only when the total says it’s sure, and leaves the post alone when it isn’t.
Setup takes about a minute- Add Howie and leave every permission checked. Each one powers a feature, and Howie never asks for Administrator.
- Run
/setupto pick which scams to catch, what Howie does and where reports go. Until you do, Howie protects your server with safe defaults. - Move Howie’s role up above your members’ roles in Server Settings → Roles, so it can act on them.
/setup(Manage Server): opens the setup form with your current settings filled in./support(anyone): sends you a link to the support server./ping(anyone): checks that Howie is awake.
Fake Nitro and Steam gifts, QR-code login scams, and invite and adult-content spam. They’ll show up in /setup once Howie has enough real examples to catch them reliably.
